When restoring content, we are careful not to change the material beyond the intentions and/or limitations of the original creators, this way the content retains its authenticity, and remains historically accurate.

Digital restoration can then be performed, with machines capable of cleaning and stabilising images, searching for imperfections such as scratches and dust marks, and removing them digitally.
